After making mugs for renaissance festival friends for a few years and often hearing: "Where'd you get that?" "This is exactly what I've been searching for" "Wow, you should sell these, I'd buy one", I've decided to offer my mugs online.

I am an artist and craftsman who knows the value of a well made product, and I take pride in my work. I can confidently guarantee the quality of my mugs – as I have put them through the rigorous testing that can only come from being a cast member at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Years of 10 hour days and thousands of gallons have proven the durability of these mugs.

While my products appear to be similar to those of Thistle Leather, I do not claim to make a reproduction of Mac’s work. I take pride in adding my own artistic style and flair to each piece I produce. [Leather Mugs (or “Jacks”), were revitalized in the Renaissance Festival community over 20 years ago by H. “Mac” MacMillan, founder of Thistle Leather. Unfortunately, Mac passed away in 2000. Since then, the members of RenFest communities have been faced with the question of what they are going to do when their Thistle Leather Jack wears out.]
